Herrera O'Doubles (born 6/25/92), is a Venezuelan-born professional fake baseball Center Fielder for the Washington Nationals of Major League Redditball. Originally born under the name of Herrera Chavez, he was the 4th child of the future President of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez. Unfortunately, his father was upset at him at the age of 8, and banished him from the country for stealing soccer balls from the Palacio Federal Legislativo and giving them to kids on the street who had nowhere to live and hardly anything to eat.

About a year after being banished from Venezuela, a young couple from Florida was vacationing in Bogota and found Herrera in a street asking people to do work for money. After the couple asked him where he lived and what he was doing, they decided to take him under their wing. At age 9, Herrera moved with his new mom and dad, Jesse and Kara Dubble, to Melbourne Florida. After never wanting to see a soccer ball again, Herrera spent most of his time working on school work, as it interested him the most. As he aged, Jesse decided to bring Herrera to a baseball game, and Herrera fell in love with the sport after watching Ricardo "Gran Polla" Rojas launch his bat to second base after a walkoff homerun. He played for years, but didn't do so well as he struggled to throw a ball. When he finally graduated high school, his studies excelled him to a full ride academic scholarship with the University of Miami, where he would grow a tremendous ability to hit. Due to Herrera still having the last name of Chavez, from his father whom he resented, and his remarkable ability to hit doubles in college for the fake Hurricanes, he legally changed his name to Herrera O'Doubles. O'Doubles entered the MLR draft in 2017 and was selected 60th overall in the 5th round by the Washington Nationals.

Bat Flipping[edit | edit source]

O'doubles is notorious for his love of bat flipping, known for caring as much about how the bat gracefully flies through the air as the at bat itself. His follow through is reminiscent of bat flipping greats like Gran Polla Rojas, though he has adapted to the bombastic style of FMLB flippers, citing Jose Bautista as an influence on his launch trajectory. While some see his play style as a distraction and a disgrace to the game, others see the true love he has for the game through each flip.

2017 Season[edit | edit source]

Herrera didn't have the 2017 season that he expected. He played 6 of the team's 7 games, and went 4 for 18 with only 1 double. O'Doubles was quite clutch though, knocking in 3 runs on those 4 hits. He also did much of the teams scouting, as he used his work ethic developed at a young age from doing his homework. This helped the team in the dugout, as he was always positive, and managed to predict pitches from other pitchers quite often, unfortunately whenever he wasn't at the plate.
