Sal Shark (born ???), born Salvador Scarcelli, is an Italian-American professional fake baseball pitcher for the Oakland Athletics of Major League Redditball. He was born in Milan, Italy and moved to the USA at a young age. Shark was seventh-round pick from the A's in the 2017 Inaugural Draft, he became their Opening Day Starter. His fans often mark his presence with two emojis: 🌶️🦈. Following the 2017 season, Shark received the American League Cy Young award.

2017 Season[edit | edit source]

Shark had a tough outing in his major league debut, giving up 3 runs to the Pirates in his first inning. He would end up giving up 4 in total, being pegged for the loss. Since this first inning, however, Shark began to blank opponents. He would give up 4 runs in the next three sessions combined, and pick up a win in all three.

There is some controversy regarding the relocation of the Royals to Oakland, where it is rumored that Shark didn't like the movement. He still branded his social media as 'Kansas City Royals pitcher,' leading to this speculation, though many pegged this to account inactivity.
