Jordan Peppers (born 7/1/1996), known also as Peppers, is a Canadian professional fake baseball General Manager for the Boston Red Sox of Major League Redditball. He was born in Toronto, ON and attended the University of Toronto for one year before opting into the 2017 MLR Expansion Draft.
Playing Career[edit | edit source]
Peppers did not play in the first 7 sessions of the 2017 season, but was drafted 3rd overall in the MLR expansion draft. He made his debut during session one, batting 9th and going 0-1 with a BB against the Baltimore Orioles. Peppers got the first and only hit of his career off of Ryan Gasting in Session Two against the Blue Jays. He also showed lots of plate discipline, drawing two BB's to finish his career with a respectable OBP of .375. The highlight of Peppers career was in session 3, when he was substituted in to pinch hit in the bottom of 6th and successfully bunted over the winning run to third, however, the Twins survived the inning and went on to win in the 7th. Peppers retired after session 4 to become the General Manager of the Red Sox after the "Black Sox Scandal".
Managing[edit | edit source]
After Peppers became GM of the Red Sox, he had already lost 3 of his players to the scandal: "Slippery" Pete Johnson, Kent F Corey III, and the Red Sox starting RF, himself. He quickly called up OF Oscar Vegas from the MiLR to replace him, as well as signing OF Larry Longshot to a one year deal. Peppers then completed a trade with the Phillies, aquiring 3B Chuck McCluster for a hug and 3 clam chowders.
