Grey Goose McGillicuddy (born March 29th, 1997), nicknamed Judah, is an American professional fake baseball general manager and retired pitcher for the Oakland Athletics of Major League Redditball. He was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the third round of the 2017 Inaugural Draft. After the conclusion of Session 3 of the 2017 season, he retired from professional redditball to join the A's -- then known as the Royals -- as their new GM. In October, following The Sundering, McGillicudy was removed from his position as general manager, and a month later became the third person banned from fake baseball.

Playing Career[edit | edit source]

Due to a lack of connection between his reddit and Discord names, McGillicuddy went relatively unnoticed on draft day despite being active and popular in league chat rooms. Selected in the third round by the Diamondbacks with no idea who they were choosing, the Arizona club was pleasantly surprised to realize who'd they'd picked up to anchor their rotation.

Despite solid pitching in Session 1, a leadoff home run put McGillicuddy behind early, and he and the Diamondbacks were never able to come back to take the win. Session 2 saw more of the same, and McGillicuddy became known as a man who had the stuff but couldn't get the job done.

Impending Move to the Front Office[edit | edit source]

Midway through Session 2, the Office of the Commissioner approached Grey Goose. The Royals GM, known as Brent, was hoping to leave the front office, and he was being sought as a replacement. His arm already falling off after only two appearances, McGillicuddy readily agreed and began packing up his locker for the move to Kansas City.

Managerial Career[edit | edit source]

With Session 2 in the books, McGillicuddy's retirement was made official, and his transition to the front office complete.
