Gare Doctor (born June 9, 1989) is the starting catcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Some argue that due to him being a talented doctor, he has incredible vision and a steady focus leading him to earn a walk in most plate appearances.

Gare was drafted in the first round of the MLR 2017 Inaugural Draft 9th overall by the Pittsburgh Pirates. He played the first two sessions with his team before needing to take over as the interim GM when Ext1nct_Nova left the team. During his tenure as interim GM, Gare removed himself from the lineup making way for Mike Anderson, the quiet backup out of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

During Season 2, Gare competed in the Season 2, Session 2 Home Run Derby hosted by Lane Drew, Dominus Nominus, and Ronald Eagle. For the first time in Derby history, two catchers faced off in the championship round. Gare Doctor secured the victory over Haroldo MacKenzie with a homerun in the 8th round of the championship.

Doctor went on to compete in the second ever King of the Diamond Home Run Derby after he punched his invitational ticket in the session 2 win. Doctor was given the 5th seed and faced off in the Yellow Conference against Player's Association VP, Dominus Nominus. Doctor defeated Nominus after hitting 8 home runs in the first round and shutting-out Nominus in the second round for a 2-0 victory.

In the semifinals of the KotD, Doctor faced off against founder and organizer of the Home Run Derby, Lane Drew. After Doctor shutout Drew in the first round, he went on to hit a home run on the 5th pitch to win round 1. In round 2, Doctor went on to hit a single home run before having to pitch to Drew. On the first pitch of round two, Drew took Doctor deep. Doctor then went ten straight pitches without giving up another home run leading to the sudden death rule being enacted. Doctor pitched first and did not give up a home run. On his first pitch of sudden death, Doctor took Drew deep to secure the semifinal victory, 2-0.

Doctor would go on to face Tampa Bay Devil Rays great, Dougie McElroy in the KotD final. Doctor won the first roll and decided to pitch to McElroy first. Doctor gave up two moonshots to McElroy in round one. Doctor earned an extra out on the fifth pitch in round one on his second home run. This was much needed as he didn't hit the third and deciding home run until the tenth pitch. In round two, McElroy pitched first and threw a shutout against Doctor, the first round in the entire tournament Doctor did not hit a home run. Needing only one home run, McElroy took Doctor deep on the eighth pitch of round two which tied the series up at 1-1. Doctor won the final roll and elected to pitch first again. In what seemed like a quick downfall of Doctor, he gave up three consecutive home runs to McElroy before ever recording an out in the final round of the KotD. After the three dingers, Doctor went on to record ten straight outs to limit the damage. Facing impossible odds, Doctor hit his first home run on the second pitch of the round to chip away at the lead. It wasn't until the seventh pitch of the round that Doctor hit his second home run and then went back to back on the next pitch to tie it up at three. Two pitches later, on the tenth pitch of the round, Doctor went yard on a 92 pitch difference to win the second ever KotD championship.

After a thrilling final with Dougie McElroy, Doctor was crowned the second-ever King of the Diamond champion. He was forever enshrined in the Hall of Kings on February, 16 2018 by Jack Alpha and founder Lane Drew.
